Efficiency Maine Green Bank – Home Energy Loan
Home Energy Loan from Efficiency Maine Green Bank offers financing options with competitive rates and flexible terms to suit your budget. This trusted, state-support supported program was designed to help Maine homeowners reduce energy costs and improve energy efficiency. With low monthly payments, you can enjoy the benefits of energy-efficient upgrades right away while spreading the cost over time. Plus, you can receive loan approval in as little as a few business days. Home Energy Loan terms vary with a maximum loan amount of $25,000 for up to 10 years at a 7.99% Annual Percentage Rate (APR).
What Can the Home Energy Loan Cover?
The Home Energy Loan is perfect for financing a range of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, including:
- Heat Pumps: For space heating and cooling in which the project is not a heat pump/fossil fuel combination system (“dual fuel”).
- Insulation and Air Sealing: Attic, wall, or basement insulation and air sealing in an area that is heated the entire heating season and is not part of the construction of a new home or addition.
A maximum of 25% of the amount financed may be used for other required health and safety upgrades necessary to complete the project.
Who is Eligible?
This state-supported program is available to Maine homeowners looking to make energy efficiency or renewable energy improvements to their primary residence. Options are available at any income level.
NEIF – EnergyPlus Loan
We have partnered with NEIF to offer a great loan option for efficiency upgrades and more. The National Energy Improvement Fund’s (NEIF) EnergyPlus Loan is a simple interest, unsecured installment loan up to $35,000 for most energy and resiliency improvements. This means that you can include non-rebate eligible improvements, including windows, doors, roofing, siding, and more.
